Utilizing her experience in business development, communications, and Web site management, Joanne initiates and manages business development and communications projects for TriActive America and TriActive Kids. She created the concept for TriActive Kids and is planning multiple additional roll-outs, including active wear for children and adults, fitness accessories, and videos/DVDs.
Joanne began her career in journalism, working for a daily entertainment newspaper (the Hollywood Reporter). She subsequently managed public relations and marketing for a real estate and finance firm in the Los Angeles area before moving to the Silicon Valley. In that then-booming region, Joanne worked as a corporate communications specialist, Web site content writer/editor, and publications manager. Her publication credits include the San Jose Mercury News, Shape magazine, Fit Pregnancy magazine, Entrepreneur.com, the Vegetarian Times magazine, Human Resources Executive magazine, Energy for Women magazine, Working Mother magazine, Netsurfer Digest, Toastmasters Magazine, KidsHealth.org, ediets.com, efitness.com, Tribune Media, California CEO magazine, Tech Week, Devx.com, Silicon 2.0, and the Christian Science Monitor.
