Bill Toomey

Bill Toomey is renowned for his Olympics success. Setting the world record, Bill won the Olympic gold medal in the decathlon (Mexico City, 1968).
He was the Founding Secretary General and is the current Vice President of the World Olympians Association. Bill was President Nixon's Personal Representatives at the 1972 Olympic Games, served for 8 years on the U.S. Olympic Committee Board of Directors, and was a member of the Presidential Commission on Olympic Sports, which established the current national sports structure in the U.S.
In addition, Bill served on the President's Counsel on Physical Fitness and Sports, which directly advises the President of the United States and the Department of Health and Human Services.
